Rescue Owners Are Rockin’
Okay you guys- I’m not sure how long you looked at that collage for but you have to look at it for LONGER because there is some mega cuteness to behold! A cat AND dog photo! Sunglasses! A cute kitty basking in complete comfort! And that shot in the middle… are those just the most beautiful eyes you ever did see?!
A grand R.O.A.R. Squad welcome to [deep breath] Kim and Tim Clune, their dogs Shamus and Emmett and their cats Jackson and Jed [exhale]! Kim’s wonderful intro to the family:
Who2: Tim is a founding member of AnimaLovers.org (an organization dedicated to helping needy cats and dogs in the Capital District of New York) and a lawyer who has represented several dog cases pro-bono (Editors note: Pro-bono. Wicked!)
More Who Stuff: Together Kim and Tim have been dog foster parents to 5 successful placements.
Emmett (Hound mix): Emmett was a dead-end rescue who nobody wanted for more than a year. After fostering him for 6 months, we adopted him from AnimaLovers in the midst of a concerning health issue. We wanted him to know he was our family no matter what.
Shamus (Newfoundland): Shamus was a private rescue. His was surrendered due to long-term medical issues with one of his family’s three young children. We didn’t rescue Shamus so much as he rescued us from devastating grief after near simultaneous deaths of our two elderly rescue dogs a few months prior.
Jackson (white paws and nose) and Jed (all orange): Our cats were adopted from AnimalKind, Inc. as 5 month old kittens not long after our 16 year old rescue cat passed away. Born 3 weeks apart to the same trapped and feral mother (likely from different fathers), these cats defied scientific odds to be together. We had to take them both. They have remained deeply bonded and have since widened their circle to include us and the dogs – especially Emmett.
Where: New York
