A Year Later: An Interview

Great buddies a year later.

One year ago today (June 1, 2009) I tentatively hit the “publish” button on the Fido & Wino blog for the very first time. That first post was a short little ditty about how excited John and I were to welcome Mickey into our home. In honour of this momentous occasion I think an interview is in order.

Since there isn’t anyone to actually conduct said interview I’m just going to do it myself. I’m going to interview myself. I realize this is somewhat unorthodox. But I am SUPER excited about my first interview!

Okay!

Interviewer (Me): Congratulations on blogging your way through an entire year!

Me (Me): Thank you. Thank you very much.

Interviewer: How do you think blogging has changed you, as a person?

Me: As a person? As opposed to what, exactly? I don’t understand the question. How long have you been interviewing people for?

Interviewer: Answer the question.

(Note from Me: This Interviewer is kind of a bitch)

Me: I think that most importantly it has made people watch what they say around me, lest they get written up in this blog. This is pretty cool because basically this means that I have complete and total control over all kinds of people… like John (you can go ahead ask him, he will totally agree. But don’t ask him right now because for some reason he has a great big hammer in his hand).

Interviewer: What do you like best about blogging?

Me: All the people I’ve met. I’ve met kind, funny people and that makes me happy.

Interviewer: What do you like the least?

Me: Freaking paparazzi.

Interviewer: How long do you think you’ll blog for?

Me: Forever. Or until Oprah invites me to be on her show and I no longer have time to blog because I’m spending all my time hanging out with Oprah and her dogs. And her mansion. And I have rehearsed our interview in my head about a zillion times so I think we’re set.

Interviewer: Oprah is finishing her show in a couple of months… I don’t think you’re going to be on it.

Me: DAMN YOU OPRAH!*

Interviewer: How is the R.O.A.R. Squad going?

Me: Awesome. I am seriously overwhelmed with the positive response! We launched in April and already have members from over 30% of the provinces and states. I am very confident that with the help of our current members we will reach our goal of getting at least one member in every state and province in the US and Canada by April 2011.

Interviewer: What is your favourite Fido post and your favourite Wino post, and why?

Me: I like this Fido post because I think it represents Kayloo and Mickey’s relationship really well. And I like this Wino post because it’s my favourite cab sauv and it lead to the discovery of the MAGIC THINGS MY POINT-AND-SHOOT CAMERA COULD DO. AND OH! I like this picture of Mickey because he looks pissed and there is something funny about a dog looking pissed off.

Interviewer: I can’t think of how to end an interview with myself.

Me: LET’S KEEP GOING!

Interviewer: This interview is over.

Looking forward to another year, peeps!

*Just kidding Oprah… love you… call me…
