And the Rest Was History: We got our boy Charlie from the Edmonton Humane Society as part of their “California Canine Cutey Transfer Program” in July 2009. We realized we wanted another pup shortly thereafter and we got in touch with Charlie’s foster mom in California who sent us Pete in October. After that we decided to start our own rescue group called the CaliCan Rescue Foundation, sending dogs from California to Alberta.

Breed: Charlie-Chihuahua/Dachshund/Terrier; Pete- Chihuahua/Dachshund; Sandy- Chihuahua/Terrier

Age: Around 2-3 years old

Charlie's not impressed with this cat stuff

Cat Lover? Rene has always been a cat lover, and never pictured having dogs take over his life.

Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way: Kari has always been allergic to dogs, until we adopted Charlie. Now, all our spare time is spent rescuing or helping dogs.

Where: Alberta

  2. Those dogs are all adorable. It’s funny how they are mixes, but still look so similar.
