I have a confession to make.
I am not sure how or when it happened, but somewhere along the way I started to actually enjoy all this home decorating stuff. It is positively weird. If you walked around my house right now you’d notice that most of the walls are bare. John and I have been here for almost 3 years now, and up until a couple of months ago, that was quite fine with me. Preferable actually because less stuff means less stuff to clean. Am I right?
Wrong. Ever since the office redo I’m all, “this room needs a coat of paint,” and “this couch needs a splash of colour… maybe a throw or a funky pillow,” and “this wall needs… needs… SOMETHING.”
Speaking of little somethings, introducing a couple of little glass containers for my office that I picked up at Value Village:
In their previous life they were light covers. I think they would be horrendous light covers, but they make beautiful pen holders and mini flower vases.
Oh. AND THEY WERE 99 CENTS EACH. Boo-yeah.
- “You Are Beautiful” card from my mom. She sent it to be because I was having a bad day.
- My crappy calculator. My good calculator died. Not so good then, eh? Yes, I realize I have a calculator on my computer but I prefer to hammer out my calculating problems in a handheld device.
Stay tuned for more home reno projects to come!
