R.O.A.R. Squad: Arlene and Victor and their dogs, Brutus and Murphy

Welcome to the R.OA.R. Squad (Rescue Owner’s Are Rockin) guys! More fabulous rescue owners from Vegas!

When I met Arlene on Twitter (her handle: @arlene888) one of the first things she mentioned was her two gorgeous white dogs! I think we can all agree that her pups are indeed gorgeous. Read more about this photogenic family and how you can join the R.O.A.R. Squad after the jump!

Rockin’ Rescue Owners: Arlene and Victor Bordinhao

Gorgeous Pups: Brutus (13 year old Poodle mix) and Murphy (2 year old Havanese mix (we think))

About Arlene and Victor: We’re Las Vegas natives who live for our boys (check out Arlene’s blog: TanLikeTheColor’s Posterous

Finally a Home: Brutus had been passed down from family to family to family. I finally asked my hubby if we could take him in so that he could have a stable home.

Love at First Sight: Murphy was found by a friend of mine who works for the Nevada SPCA.  Murphy was seen on the side of the road on a busy Las Vegas street.  He was EXTREMELY filthy and when she finally coaxed him into her car, he was in serious need of some grooming and good food.  She took him to the vet to see if he was micro-chipped and he wasn’t.  She then emailed me to ask if I knew of anyone that would want to adopt him and I told her that we’d like to meet him.  We met at a local park and we absolutely fell in love with him the moment we saw him.  The rest is history.

Opposites Attact: Brutus and Murphy are complete opposites.  Brutus acts like he was raised with a silver spoon, walking around puddles, prancing when he walks whereas Murphy acts like he’s from the streets!  The first day Murphy was in our home he burped and then farted out loud soon after.  We couldn’t believe our ears when we heard him!  He also acts like a Tough Guy around larger dogs who come around his turf (such as the dog park across the street). It’s to the point now that our neighbors call him Murph Turf.  Mind you, he’s only 12 lbs.

Where: Nevada

I agree – I don’t think this family can get any more gorgeous! But, they like all of the R.O.A.R. squad members are most beautiful inside. Hugs!
