R.O.A.R. Squad: Sara and her dogs, Gracie and Tina

As you know, for the month of December the R.O.A.R. Squad is pulling out all the stops to find rescue owners from Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine and New Brunswick.

And wouldn’t you know it: I am very excited to introduce to you our latest R.O.A.R. Squad member: Sara from Delaware! Yahoo!

I have wanted to profile greyhounds since the R.O.A.R. Squad started- I met some greyhounds for the first time at this adoption fair over the summer and I was blown away by their gentle disposition and in awe of their silky smooth coats. Both of the greyhounds I met calmly walked up to me and rested their heads against my lap. Smitten.

If you would like to be profiled in the R.O.A.R. Squad all the info you need to do so is HERE. A special shout out to fabulous folks in Hawaii, Idaho, Maine and New Brunswick- we need you!

Check out more photos of this beautiful family after the jump.

Rockin’ Rescue Owner: Sara Hinze

Gorgeous Pups: Gracie (9 years) and  Tina (8 years)- both greyhounds

First Impressions: Greyt Expectations Greyhound Rescue is based in Lusby, MD. I found them on Petfinder.com back in 2003 when I was dog-hunting. I knew I wanted a retired racer after a friend of mine married a man who had a 5 year old retired greyhound and it was the biggest, laziest, sweetest dog I’d ever met!

Lovely Lady: Gracie’s racing name was B’s Lady Grace and it suits her perfectly – she’s such a lady in everything she does – she is also my brave protector.

Silly Snuggler: Tina is the comic relief – this dog makes everyone laugh with her silly antics.  She is also the worlds biggest snuggler.

Where: Delaware, USA

Meet someone else from out east? Check out Kim and her three in New Jersey!

Years ago I dated a man who owned retired greyhounds and they were sooooo sweet. And then we broke up.
