past midnight

John grabbed me this bottle of Caliterra for New Years (I have a tendency to stick with my trusty Cono Sur so it was great to branch out… still Chilean, still cabernet sauvignon but still, whatever). The plan was to sit on our duff’s, do our best to stay up until at least 10:30pm and then groggily slink off to bed until the next year.

We ended up going over to our neighbours and staying there until 12:30 AT NIGHT. We smooched at midnight and everything.

AND this wine is lovely. Banner night.

For new years I went to my brother’s wedding. Stayed at the reception till 4am (was only 1am my time zone) then flew home at 650am. Rough flight. Left my glasses somewhere in an airport or on an airplane. As many times as I tell myself I won’t do that again, I keep on doing it.

Nicely done! Sounds like a fun night!

  3. @Kari- That is hilarious! I really hope you have a 2nd pair of glasses or contacts at least! I CAN”T IMAGINE what that flight was like!

Hmmm, never heard of either of those but I think I’d like to try the Cono Sur if I find it. Nice to smooch with someone you love at midnight on New Years, right? Hugs!

  6. @Kari- I am totally blind without my glasses/contacts- I feel your pain. I have a tendency to forget my glasses on holiday which SUCKS because then I have to wear my contacts until the second I want to go to sleep WHICH SUCKS.

  7. @Kim- This was bottle was lovely but I really recommend the Cono Sur all the time. They have a really nice organic cab sauv as well, which I love. Let me know what you think!
