doing the dirty work

Mickey models while Kayloo helps John in the background. John is setting his watch before doing sit ups, push ups etc in the hallway and Kayloo figures she’s hit the jackpot because John is RIGHT THERE within licking distance for whole minutes at a time. Mickey thinks exercise is overrated.

strange love

Goofy Kayloo helping me pack for our trip. We call that little dog between Kayloo’s paws her “boyfriend.” When you push his foot he sings a little ditty, “I gotta whole lotta love… for you! Whole lotta love…!,” and flaps his ears and legs around. Kayloo loves him. The Boyfriend sits up on a shelf [...]

priorities

You know when you are fully aware that encouraging certain activities is a COMPLETELY bad idea but you do it anyway because it’s entertaining? Yeah, letting two goofy dogs play fight through a defenceless screen door would fall under that category. But it was funny. And I made them stop right away… after I got [...]

halo

Kayloo under a halo of light on laundry day (I’ve thrown her bed cover in the wash in the never ending (never winning) quest to banish the fur).

don’t worry, mickey…

Don’t worry, Mickey. We’ll still love you when the baby comes… (and your crazy sister too…)

some changes around here

He’s cute, sure. But this little furball can also be a gigantic pain in the ass. There are some changes that have to happen around here with my dogs before this baby arrives at the end of March. That is the kind of thing my dad would say when my brother and I were kids, [...]

tattle tail

I was out for a lovely afternoon walk with the dogs a couple days ago. It was shaping up to pretty much be a perfect walk. It was warm and sunny, and the dogs were trotting along behind me like they were some kind of saints/someone else’s dogs. And then I felt someone purposefully walking [...]

something different in mind

I was like, “Hey. How about you pose for a few photos for me?” And Mickey was like, “Hey. How about you get lost?”

paws for a cause

I took this shot of John and the dogs at the finish line of the BCSPCA’s Paws for a Cause walk held in Victoria last Sunday. It was great fun, hotter than heck and money was raised for a great cause! If you’d like to learn more about Paws for a Cause you can check ‘em [...]

the bicycle thief (but not depressing at all)

I brought Mickey along to meet the GoPetFriendly folk. It was stinking hot so we found some steps in the shade to perch on and drank root beer iced tea (awesome, you have to try it), while Mickey stared off in the distance contemplating important things… probably.
